This summer we were sad to learn that Jean Mills passed away at the age of 92. Jean was a talented ski instructor, a better person and a warm and loving presence to the Discovery family. She taught thousands of people to ski in her time as a ski instructor at Wraith Hill and Discovery. Many people have asked us about her so there is no doubt she made a lasting impact on those who were fortunate to know her.
With love and respect, we built and named a new trail at Discovery in her honor. The new trail — the Norma Jean — is located between the terrain park and the bottom of Gold Bug. We encourage you to hit this run and make a few turns for Jean. Her memory and passion for skiing will forever live on at Discovery.
