WEBCAMS

Our webcam shots are updated every two hours to show the current weather conditions at the base area. The pictures on the right are taken from the deck of Ski Patrol building and show current weather conditions (the thermometer has an 11" diameter and is mounted 3" off the deck). The photos on the left are looking east up Lums Run off the Easy Chair.

Our Facilities

Your Home Base

Stow away your gear, pull up a stool and order a local brew. Or for the young ones, one of our famous chocolate chip cookies. From food to gear to lockers, we have everything you might need right here at the base of the mountain.

A couple cold ones at the Tap ‘Er Lite Bar.

DISCOVERY DAY LODGE

Part rec room, part expedition staging area, the ground floor of our day lodge has lockers, tables, long benches and big double doors that open straight out onto the base of the mountain. By 9 a.m. it’s bee-hive busy, and one very good time.

THE TAP’ER LITE BAR

Nothing builds a thirst quite like a day of carving the slopes. Hence, the Tap ‘er Lite. It’s a great place to pull up a stool and swap yard sale stories over a fresh Montana microbrew or while sipping an Irish coffee to ward off the chill.

DISCOVERY CAFE

Bright and airy, our café serves up mountain views and a lively atmosphere. There’s really no better place to connect with friends for lunch or a last run cookie. Just off the café, there’s also a nice deck for grilling and gathering. It’s as fun as it is filling.

RESTAURANT

Fresh from the oven.

To us, the perfect end to a day of skiing is to walk into grandma’s kitchen, rich with the aroma of fresh baked cookies and a hearty beef stew. So that’s how we approach food at Discovery. The homemade soups are made entirely from scratch right on the premises. Our daily entrée specials always prove to be satisfying and delicious. Plus, we have a full plate of sandwiches, burgers, fries and beverages. All at family-friendly prices. But more than anything, what separates us from most ski area fare is our bakery. Everything—bread bowls, cinnamon rolls, cakes, and pies—are baked fresh daily. And Discovery’s signature chocolate chip cookies are baked hourly, tempting you into the lodge on the best of powder days.

NOEL SHOP

Forget your goggles? Lose a glove off the lift? No worries. Our on-mountain shop may be small, but it’s brimming with the clothing and gear you’re most likely to need. Plus, we have a full complement of Discovery-wear. Perfect for showing your Discovery pride. Check it out, right next to the ticket office.

KINDERSKI

This center is for our smallest and most energetic customers. Located just off our Day Lodge area, it houses everything from building blocks to coloring books to nap mats and is the perfect breakroom for the kids in our Kinderski program. For more on Kinderski visit our Snow Sports School page.

RENTAL AND REPAIR CENTER

Also located off the Day Lodge, this area is aptly named. Stop in here to pick up rentals or get a quick wax and tune before or after you go skiing. For more on those services, visit our Rentals page.
